Satan in the Bible


 Revelation 20:10 (ESV) says:

“and the devil who had deceived them was thrown in the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”


John 8:44 (NIV) says:

“You belong to your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”


Acts 26:18 (NIV) says:

“To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan, to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”


Matthew 4:10 (NIV) says”

“Jesus said to him “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God only.’”


Mark 4:15 (NIV) says:

“Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.”


2 Corinthians 11:14 & 15 (NIV) say:

“And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”


1 Thessalonians 2:18 (NIV) says:

“For we wanted to come to you—certainly I, Paul, did, again and again—But Satan blocked our way.”


2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV) says:

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”


Ephesian 2:2 (NIV) says:

“in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.”
